Shiragami Youko is a half-vampire with a human mother and a vampire father. She attends a human school under the condition that her vampiric nature must remain hidden. However, her secret was exposed to Kuromine Asahi, who intended to confess his love to her and witnessed Youko unfolding her wings in an empty classroom. As a vampire, Youko possesses characteristics such as wings and long canines. She is able to conceal her wings but cannot hide her canines, which she tries to avoid showing at school as much as possible. Additionally, Youko is weak to sunlight, though instead of turning into ashes, she becomes extremely tanned when exposed to it.
