Goo Jing is a renowned Kung-Fu master. He takes Yang Guo back to Cherry Island after he gets hurt while trying to save Goo Jing's daughter from Li Mo Chou's attack. Despite the fact that Goo Jing had a close bond with Yang Guo's father, who was an evil man known for betrayal, Goo Jing was forced to kill him in order to protect their country. Although they eventually became enemies, Goo Jing and Yang Kang were also good friends, so it was difficult for Goo Jing to take Yang Kang's life. As a form of atonement, Goo Jing decides to care for Yang Guo, who closely resembles his father.
