The story tells of a celestial maiden known as Tennyo, who married the founder of the Mikage family and possessed immense power but was also volatile. Despite this, she yearned to regain her hagoromo, or robe, in order to restore her abilities. To do so, she attempted to manifest herself through female descendants of her line when they turned sixteen years old. However, each time these attempts were thwarted as the descendant was killed by the Mikage family. Ceres' tragic past has been misunderstood and misinterpreted by those who seek to end her existence in order to prevent further harm for another generation.
