A student in high school who shares a class with Higashida initially believed she was a spirit because she wore a scarf and winter attire during summertime. It was later discovered that she had contracted pneumonia due to not wearing a scarf on the first day of school, which caused her to miss out on forming friendships during the initial weeks. As a result, she has not attended school since then. Furthermore, it appears that only Muranushi can perceive an elderly man who is actually Higashida's grandfather.
