A winged horse resembling Pegasus is known as a ryūba. These creatures can transport people on their backs and are controlled using reins like regular horses. However, unlike normal horses, owning a ryūba is considered a symbol of high status because they're not commonly owned by the general public. Only members of the aristocracy or nobility typically ride them. Ryūbas with damaged wings can no longer fly and are often kept as pets by commoners.
