The medical ninja in question was a person of darkness who aimed to resurrect the demon god Moryo by allowing his spirit to reside within his own corpse. He and his followers embarked on a mission to locate Shion, the priestess, and obtain her body as they worked towards reviving Moryos physical form. However, just as Shion was about to complete the sealing ritual, Moryo struck down the ninja, ending their quest.
