It appears that Talsian, a friend of Karins, has a connection with her parents and does not participate in instant message conversations. Talsian makes his physical appearance halfway through the series and is revealed as chairman of Atlas Corporation. He also seems to know Ryoko well. Later on, it is discovered that both Talsian and Nagiko, the first CEO of Atlas, collaborated to create the corporation with the intention of improving the future for their descendants. Under accusations of aiding an unknowing Karin in shutting down Atlas's critical systems, Talsian is placed under arrest by Ryoko.
