In the TV series, a man who was once part of Dante's group transformed into a village doctor after leaving his past behind. He enjoyed playing with kids in the village but was later pressured by Dante to assassinate Kenshiro. Despite Duran's attempt to kill Kenshiro, he failed and instead saved Kanna from Dante's men. Consequently, they killed him. In response, Kenshiro avenged his friend's death by eliminating Dante and his gang.
