Lala hiyama is an individual who wears a bear-like suit for survival purposes. she was part of the original immortal ship committee and served as a gardes pilot prior to that. her best friend is former ace pilot hiroki saitou, with whom she had a falling out. currently, lala serves as a "dorm mother" to sidonia's cadets due to her close bond with hiroki. as a result of this connection, she has taken it upon herself to look after nagate tanikaze personally.
