Initially, Holly did not express any interest in Brock, stating that she had no interest in "younger men." However, after fighting alongside him, she developed feelings for him due to his impressive battling skills. In Glory Blaze, Holly appeared jealous of Brock's flirtation with Nurse Joy. Later on, during a battle between Ash and Paul, Holly displayed heart-eyes while watching Brock fight. Despite their loss in the battle against Ash and Paul, Holly felt responsible for the defeat. Afterwards, she left without saying goodbye to Brock. According to Nurse Joy, she wanted to train more in order to become a better partner for Brock.
