The protagonist, Hikaru, is an angel created by a junior high school student named Misaki (Misakchi). When Misaki made Hikaru, she wanted her to be quick and agile. As a result of being the best that she could be, Hikaru helped make Misaki a champion in the Angelic Layer competition. Additionally, Hikaru appeared as the last fighter in chess in the Tsubasa manga.
