Sara Azuma

In Asakusa, there is a well-known celebrity who broadcasts daily news updates. She is energetic and entertaining on TV, but she can be quite careless and indifferent when captured or restricted. Despite her clumsiness, Sara has a kind heart. Her role in the series is similar to that of the Shadow Players from Revolutionary Girl Utena and Double H from Penguindrum; they serve as the Greek chorus, providing allegorical commentary on each episode's events.
Spoilers:
Sara is actually a kappa, as well Keppi's love interest and princess. In the spin-off manga, she is the adopted daughter of Reo and Mabu.
