The Sacred Order of Holy Knights was led by Ky Kiske after Kliff Undersn retired at a young age of 16. As a symbol of his new position, he received one of the Order's most sacred treasures - Thunderseal. This appointment proved to be accurate as Ky and his group of brave knights ended the century-long Crusades by imprisoning the malevolent Gear, Justice, for eternity. However, five years after the dissolution of the Order, Ky continued serving in public life by joining the police force. On duty one day, he learned about a tournament to be held soon with winners being candidates for a Second Sacred Order. The rules seemed suspicious - permission to shed blood during matches, an enormous grand prize, and rumors of Justice's resurrection too soon. Suspicious of foul play, Ky donned the old uniform of the Order once again and decided to enter the tournament.
