Kabane Kusaka, a unique individual with both human and ghoul characteristics, possesses a rare white stone known as Life Calculus. This precious item safeguards him from the insatiable hunger that afflicts other creatures of his kind. Driven by an unquenchable thirst for knowledge about his origins, Kabane joined the Kemono Office agency in pursuit of discovering who his parents were. Despite standing at a diminutive height and boasting pale skin, Kabane's hair is raven black when transformed into his kemono form. His eyes turn scarlet during this transformation, while a horn protrudes from his head and certain parts of his body take on new colors. As a result of being raised in neglectful circumstances, Kabane exhibits an emotionless demeanor and responds bluntly to queries. He may come across as clueless or unintelligent regarding various matters.
