Ikkaku Madarame

Ikkaku Madarame serves as the 3rd Seat within the 11th Division of Gotei 13. His captain is Kenpachi Zaraki. In terms of personality, Ikkaku embodies many traits associated with members of the 11th Division-he's violent, loves to fight, and can be quite rude. These characteristics have been observed by Tetsuzaemon Iba and others within the organization. Despite his aggressive nature, Ikkaku demonstrates a strong sense of loyalty and responsibility that is not commonly found among lower-ranked 11th Division members. He is deeply devoted to his captain and would willingly lay down his life under his command. Ikkaku shares numerous personality traits with Kenpachi Zaraki, which explains their mutual respect for one another. Both men view fighting as a form of entertainment and enjoy pushing themselves to the limit during battles. Ikkaku is particularly fond of engaging in long, drawn-out fights that allow him to fully express his love for combat. He would even risk his life to prolong these contests, such is his enthusiasm for the sport. Like Kenpachi, Ikkaku has a penchant for limiting his abilities during battles in order to make them last longer. However, while Kenpachi prefers using his power-sealing eye patch, Ikkaku restricts the use of his Bankai. Despite their differences, both men share a love for fighting and are constantly smiling when engaged with formidable opponents. As is customary among 11th Division members, Ikkaku believes that only one-on-one battles are truly honorable. Even the threat of death does not deter him from this belief, as he and his fellow division members believe that the true winner can only be determined when their opponent has been defeated. However, Ikkaku also recognizes the importance of survival in such situations and carries a blood-clotting ointment with him at all times. What sets Ikkaku apart from other 11th Division members is his unique "Lucky Dance," which he performs during particularly intense fights. This wacky routine has become famous among the Gotei 13 and adds a fun element to what can often be a serious and deadly battle.
