In the beginning, Kamakura Mad-Dogs was an adversary group with Saejima as its leader. They were known for their strength and had a reputation in Shonan. Before Eikichi and Ryuji arrived at Tsujido High School, they were considered the strongest there. Although Kamata started out being very arrogant, he changed his attitude after losing to the Onibaku during their fight. This change made him one of the more mature characters in the series. Kamata is a person with both Japanese and American ethnicity. He moved to the United States about three quarters into the story and was last seen working at a bar in The Bronx, New York.
