Mikey has a childhood friend named Baji Keisuke who founded TOMAN. He is the commander of the first division of Toman and is introduced to the viewer when Takemichi is taken to Valhalla headquarters by Kazutora. At that time, Baji was about to fight his close friend and vice-commander Chifuyu in front of the entire Valhalla crew to prove his loyalty. Takemichi had previously been instructed by Mikey to bring Baji back because he had supposedly betrayed Toman to join Valhalla. However, despite Takemichi's efforts, Baji refused to return to Toman and stated that he hated the gang and never wished to go back. Even when his closest friend Chifuyu tried to persuade him otherwise, Baji remained firm in his decision. Later on, it is revealed that Baji's motives were more complex than initially thought.
Later, it turns out that Baji was initially the only one who saw through Kisaki's plan to destroy the real Toman and come out on top together with Mikey. He already suspected that the invisible brain and leader of Valhalla is actually Kisaki. For this reason, he infiltrates Valhalla to somehow foil Kisaki's plans. Although Takemichi claims to know this as well and tries to ally with Baji, Baji denies everything, presumably so as not to involve anyone else in the matter.
Baji fails to withstand the fatal injury and dies moments later in the arms of his best friend Chifuyu.

At the Bloody Halloween fight between Toman and Valhalla, Baji confronts Kisaki to get him out of the way. However, Kazutora has already been manipulated by Kisaki into killing Baji. Although Takemichi is already aware of this from the future, he fails to stop Kazutora from attacking Baji with a knife. Although Baji is stabbed, he does not kneel down, but continues to advance towards Kisaki, but finally collapses in his face.
