Takeshi  

Brock, タケシ

In the English version of the Pokémon series, Takeshi is referred to as "Brock." He was previously the gym leader in Nibi (Pewter) City before deciding to join Satoshi (Ash) and Kasumi (Misty) on their quest to catch Pokémon. Brock has a passion for becoming a top-class breeder and is easily captivated by pretty girls, often resulting in him being dragged away by Kasumi or Max or getting stabbed by his Croagunk. At the conclusion of Diamond and Pearl, he decides to part ways with Dawn and Ash to pursue a career as a Pokémon Doctor.
