Sophia Esteed is a childhood friend of Fayt Leingod. She is 17 years old and an Earthling who was born on Moonbase before moving to Earth. Despite being from the era of Star Ocean 3, Sophia enjoys activities traditionally associated with femininity such as cooking and cleaning. As she has a close relationship with Fayt and his family, including her own parents working alongside Fayts parents, Sophia is considered part of the family and refers to Fayts father and mother as "Uncle Robert" and "Aunty Ryoko".
