Hiiragi's violin playing supplies Kuromis Melody Key with Dark Power were the most popular in the first series, making him a famous teen heartthrob among girls. Despite his popularity, he often appeared indifferent or secretly agitated towards ladies. In the first season, he joined Kuromis side to unleash the Dark Power out of boredom but soon became the de facto leader of her group. Hiiragi was not above using subterfuge to further his goals and keep his work with My Melodys enemies a secret from the heroes, even though he interacted freely with them. In Kurukuru Shuffle!~, he transformed into Usamimi Kamen with My Melodys magic. Due to his actions in the first season, Hiiragi was forced to become My Melos super hero, which he hated as he often felt apathetic and unenergetic when My Melo summoned him. His mother called him Kei-Kun.
