Claus Valca's father, Hamilcar Valca, came from a noble background but left his homeland to settle in Norkia due to its beautiful skies. He formed a close friendship with Georges Head, and together they became known as a successful van ship courier duo. Tragically, both men died while attempting to deliver a peace offer to Disith during the Exiles' defense system reaction to their presence in the Grand Stream. Hamilcar Valca passed away when Claus was just five years old. His name is derived from the historical figure Hamilcar Barca, who was a Carthaginian general during the First Punic War and father of Hannibal.
