An elderly white man who was always timid and self-centered from the start. He recognized Marco's true character and exposed it to the group, causing a great deal of tension. This individual also encouraged Ron to kill Marco in a moment of anger by providing him with the monkey wrench that Marco had initially used to threaten the Senator. In chapter 6, the Senator is eaten alive by giant eels, unlike Peter who returns after his death.
