The protagonist of this story is a new recruit in the United Defense Force who becomes trapped in a time loop. Each day, he wakes up to find himself back in the past, having been killed on the battlefield during one of his missions. Through the training and combat experiences he has in these loops, the character develops into a skilled soldier.
