On the seashore, Guts and his companions encountered a young boy who resembled both Guts and Casca and displayed an interest in them. During a fight with Ganishkas monsters, Guts was taken over by the Berserker Armor. However, before he could cause any harm, the boy used telepathy to bring him back to his senses. The boy then vanished as mysteriously as he had appeared. He reappeared on Sea Gods Island when Casca attempted to save it.
