Jean is the father of Marion Benigni and works as a set designer for Kaleido Stages. He creates stages where performers showcase their talents. Despite not appearing frequently, he supports Sora and her friends when they need him. Jean has observed that when Sora sets her mind to something, it always finds a way to work out. He joins Marion, Johnathan, Ken, and Jerry in forming Freedom Lights after Yuri takes over Kaleido Stage. Jean shows Marion her mother's performance journal, which inspires her to perform on the Children's Stage. He is friends with Kalos and had a wife named Cynthia, who was also a trampoline star on Kaleido Stage. She passed away before the series began due to an incident on stage, leaving Marion deeply affected. However, being with Sora helped Marion recover, bringing joy to Jean.
