Willard H. Wright was once the Chief Inquisitor of SSVD, enforcing Van Dines Commandments in the Great Court of Heaven's 8th District Repentance Enforcement Agency. He gained notoriety for being a young ace inquisitor feared by witches due to his cold and ruthless tactics. Nicknamed "Wright of the Twenty Wedges" and "Wizard-Hunting Wright," he eventually grew disillusioned with SSVD's brutal standards and resigned from his position. In the seventh game, Will takes on the role of detective, replacing Battler Ushiromiya and Erika Furudo in a world where Battler does not attend the conference. He is briefly mentioned in TIPS episode 5 as the leader of SSVD, rumored to be more powerful than Dlanor A. Knox, the current leader of the Eiserne Jungfraus. Unlike other characters who use red or blue blades or a golden longsword, Will wields a black sword in his investigations. Despite appearing gruff and quick-tempered, he is genuinely good-hearted and tries to be as lenient as possible during his investigations.
