At the start of the game, we see richter as a reserved and dismissive individual who belittles emil for being unable to defend himself. later on, when emil thanks him for scaring off some bullies, richter expresses his disdain towards cowards but also imparts an inspirational message to emil: "courage is the power that turns aspirations into accomplishments." despite this, richter admits to being harsh with people, though he clarifies that it does not mean he holds any ill will against them. additionally, he states that he has no plans to alter his approach towards others.
