The individual who predicts that humans will become extinct in 2272 due to global warming causing Earth's weather to enter an irreversible chain reaction leading to ocean boiling and the end of life. Since there is no way to stop this, they suggest preserving DNA samples of all known species except for humans as a form of atonement. Jiro Anno, their top student, is tasked with building a massive tower at the south pole, which Louis Armstrong eventually manages before passing away shortly after giving command.
