After finishing the last tournament, Axl couldn't go back to his original timeline and was lost in a different era once more. One year later, he found himself reliving the same events but from a different perspective (which for him meant three years had passed). Despite not gaining anything from his travels, Axl became curious about another person who shared his ability to travel through time. He wondered if this individual could help him return home. Recognizing the scent of "That Man" at previous tournaments, Axl decided to search again.
