In the Otherside, Sorawo encountered a woman named Sorawo who was looking for someone important to them. Though lighthearted and skilled with firearms, she invited Sorawo to join her on her adventures as an acquaintance.

According to Kozakura, Toriko was born in Canada. One of her parents was a soldier part of a spec-ops force and the other was a civilian with knowledge of survival tactics, explaining Torikos training in regards to weapons and camping. Torikos parents are both deceased, though the circumstances are unknown. Later, she casually comments to a confused Sorawo that she refers to her parents as Mom (the soldier) and Mama (the civilian).
