Recently, Masayuki transferred from Tokyo to Tarō and Makotos school. Despite initially being ignored by both students due to his interest in investigating the kidnapping incident, he eventually gained their trust as they began working together to uncover the truth behind the case. Masayuki is a confident individual who can be somewhat arrogant and rude at times. He has had a fear of heights since an incident where he bullied someone into suicide by jumping off the school roof. The victim left a message on the blackboard cursing Masayuki, which caused him to become angry rather than guilty. Despite this, Masayuki is determined to overcome his fear and tries extensively, including standing on the edge of the school roof. During his free time, Masayuki enjoys playing virtual reality games using his head-mounted display. His father works as a researcher at Japan Bio-Tech while his mother spends most of her time playing console games like Tetris. Masayuki has a friendlier relationship with Tarō and often visits him in hospital, joking around together.
