In the TV series, Joker is a henchman of Shins primary gang, known as the KING gang. He was responsible for serving as staff officer and mastering Nanto Shōten Ken style. His main duty involved reporting Kenshiros latest activities to Shin and delivering orders to his subordinate gangs. Additionally, Joker possessed exceptional illusion skills and carried an unlimited supply of throwing cards that could cut through stone. He also had a pet hawk which helped him escape whenever necessary. When Balcom announced that he and his men had killed Kenshiro, Joker was skeptical and visited the battle site to confirm the news. However, when he discovered that Kenshiro was still alive, Joker challenged him to a final battle. Despite being outsmarted by Kenshiro, Joker refused to become Shins messenger and chose death instead.
