Lau Chan is an accomplished Chinese chef known for mastering Koen-ken (Tiger Swallow Fist), a legendary martial art. Despite appearing reserved, he possesses great resourcefulness and skill in this art form. His unassuming demeanor belies his gentle nature. Lau Chan achieved one of his lifelong goals when he won the Grand Prix at the world's most prestigious competition for Chinese chefs. As a perfectionist, he entered the World Fighting Tournament to master another craft, even if it meant abandoning his daughter, Pai. Originating from Northern China's Shandong Province, Lau Chan was the strongest competitor and winner of the first tournament. This victory made him happy as it fulfilled a requirement for his martial arts school to find a successor. After the first tournament, he retreated to the mountains to train and develop new techniques to enhance his ultimate art.
