Captain Ginyu, ギニュー隊長

Captain Ginyu heads an elite mercenary unit known as the Ginyu Force. His name is derived from gyuunyuu (牛乳), meaning dairy milk in Japanese. Despite being a harsh taskmaster, Ginyu deeply cares for his teammates and becomes enraged when he learns that Jeice's three subordinates were defeated and killed. However, he can also be quite strict with his team members if they fail missions, as seen when he scolds Jeice for letting Burter and Recoome lose to Goku and fleeing from the fight. Ginyu is fiercely loyal to Frieza and follows any orders given to him. During his battle with Goku, Frieza stated that no one in the universe had surpassed Ginyu's abilities. Only a select few have witnessed Ginyu's true form, including Salza, who fought against him to become leader of Coolers Armored Squadron.
