In "Finn Family Moomintroll," there's a powerful magician who journeys through the cosmos with his flying panther, seeking the Kings Ruby. He wears a top hat that is discovered in the Lonely Mountains by Moomintroll, Snufkin, and Sniff, who return it to Moominhouse. When used, anything placed inside the hat undergoes a magical transformation. Even Moomintroll himself becomes an unusual creature when he uses it during a game. The house also transforms into a jungle-like environment. Despite his intimidating appearance, the Hobgoblin is friendly and has a name that translates to "The Wizard" or "The Magician" in Swedish literature.
