Shuuji is a professor at a Tokyo art university who serves as Hagumi's protective cousin. Growing up together, he was the only real father figure for her. He took on this role with devotion to ensure that she was happy and proud of her artistic talent. As his teacher, Shuuji was not an artist himself but had talented friends like Rika and Harada who sought his help with their classwork. Despite being a wise man capable of giving good advice, he sometimes becomes nervous and stutters.
