Yakkul, a loyal elk mount belonging to Prince Shunas in Princess Mononoke, is similar to Ashitaka's beloved wolf spirit. Despite his devotion to the prince or Tea herself, he can be wild under other hands. When separated from Shuna and her sister, Yakkul assists Tea in earning her way back to him.
