Ara-chan is a seal that arrives in Cromartie and is welcomed as an equal by Kamiyama and his companions. They decide to rename it "Hokuto-kun," which causes the real Hokuto great displeasure, leading him to attempt to drown the seal in water, unaware of seals' ability to swim.
