Shamrock Holdings, commonly known as Shamrock, is a privately owned investment company established by the Disney family as their personal investment vehicle. The Disney family remains its sole shareholder. As a private corporation, Shamrock is fully owned by the estate of Roy E. Disney. Roy E. Disney served as its chairman while Stanley Gold was its president and CEO. Shamrock's assets include hotels, radio, and television stations. Known for its aggressive approach, Shamrock often engages in hostile takeovers.
