Digital Frontier Inc., also known as Frontier Pictures, is a Japanese motion picture production company with a large-scale CG production department. They have a motion capture studio called "OPAKIS" in Odaiba, Tokyo. The company started producing CG works in 1994 as part of TYO Image Enterprise and became a corporate company in 1997. They are known for their earlier works such as Death Note (live action film) and Appleseed (CG film). In 2010, their parent company changed from TYO Inc. to Fields Corporation, which specializes in planning and development, and sales of pachinko machines. They have subsidiaries in Malaysia, Taiwan, and Japan. They created reveal trailers for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
