The CG film answers the question of what is the secret that makes the Sylvanian village a wonderful place. In the story, the rabbit girl Freya is trying to make everyone happy, with the Sylvanian village's annual star festival serving as the backdrop.
The BBFC lists ( link ) the film as 66 minutes long, rated "U" with "very mild threat."
In October 2022, a new TV anime series was launched based on the popular toy line. This series, titled "Sylvanian Families Freya no Go for Dream!", was shown on both Tokyo MX and Sun TV channels. Additionally, there was a full-length 3DCG anime version of this franchise called "Sylvanian Families Freya no Go for Dream!", which was also released in July 2022 on Tokyo MX.
In 1985, Epoch launched the initial collection of toys. This led to an animated series in America in 1987 and another one in Britain in 1998. Additionally, there was a three-part anime series from Japan in 2007. In the US, these toys are known as Calico Critters.
