Mutsumi Tamura to play Evil Eye
On Friday, the official website for the TV anime adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu's DAN DA DAN manga was updated with new information about the second season. This included the reveal of a new cast member, visuals, and a premiere date of July 3rd.

The second season will debut in July 2025, and Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs.
Science SARU has credited both Fūga Yamashiro and Abel Góngora as directors for the new season. The returning cast will be featured in this season.
In Japan, the first season of the anime was shown on TBS and MBS 's Super Animeism TURBO block starting from October 3rd. At the same time, Netflix made it available for streaming globally. There were a total of 12 episodes in this season.
The anime "Tatami Time Machine Blues" was directed by Fūga Yamashiro at Science SARU. Hiroshi Seko, who has worked on "Attack on Titan," "Chainsaw Man," "Jujutsu Kaisen," "Mob Psycho 100," and other series, supervised and wrote the scripts for "Tatami Time Machine Blues." Kensuke Ushio, known for his work on "Chainsaw Man," "DEVILMAN crybaby," and "Liz and the Blue Bird," composed the music for the series. Naoyuki Onda designed the characters for "Tatami Time Machine Blues," while Yoshimichi Kameda designed the aliens and supernatural entities in the series. "Otokone" by Creepy Nuts served as the opening theme song for "Tatami Time Machine Blues," while "TAIDADA" by ZUTOMAYO was used as the ending theme song for the series.

This is a story about Momo, a high school girl who comes from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic. After Momo rescues Okarun from being bullied, they begin talking. However, an argument ensues between them since Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens exist, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts exist.
In order to demonstrate their beliefs, Momo visits an abandoned hospital where there have been reports of a UFO sighting, while Okarun explores a tunnel that is said to be haunted. Despite their initial shock at encountering intense paranormal events that surpass understanding, both of them discover new abilities. Momo unlocks her hidden powers, while Okarun gains the ability of a curse. As they navigate through these challenges, their romantic relationship develops.
