Turn-based game follows franchise's original story
On Friday, Akatsuki Games released the second trailer for their game based on the Kaiju No. 8 franchise. This game will be available on smartphones and PCs. Pre-registration is now open. In this new trailer, we get more information about the game.
The game is set to release on iOS, Android, and PC through Steam on August 31st as per the information on its listing on the App Store.
The company describes the game:

The game has a turn-based fighting mechanism that is consistent with the show's narrative. Additionally, it contains unique plotlines that are separate from the main storyline.
The anime's second season will debut in July 2025. Crunchyroll will stream the new season.
On April 13th, 14th, and 16th in theaters across the United States and Canada, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment presented the compilation movie of the first season of the anime series "Kaiju No. 8" titled "Mission Recon". Both Japanese with English subtitles and English dubbed versions were available for viewers.
The anime series made its debut on TV Tokyo in April 2024 with 12 episodes. Crunchyroll provided English subtitles for streaming, while also offering an English dub. Additionally, the anime was streamed live worldwide through X (formerly Twitter) as it was being broadcasted in Japan at the same time it was airing.
Viz Media has released both digital and physical versions of Monster #8 manga. Meanwhile, Shueisha publishes the digital version of Monster #8 on its MANGA Plus service.
