Membership extends to Switch, Switch 2
On Wednesday, Nintendo posted a video detailing the advantages of being a paid member of Nintendo Switch Online, which also includes additional perks with the newly launched Nintendo Switch 2 console. Members of the Switch will be able to transfer their membership to the new console.
Individuals with the "Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack" subscription will receive enhanced versions of games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for the Nintendo Switch 2. Additionally, they will receive free downloadable content for select games.
In addition to utilizing the enhanced GameChat functionality through the Switch 2 controllers, individuals with a "Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack" subscription will also gain access to GameCube games alongside Nintendo 64, Game Boy Advance, and Sega Genesis games.
In summary, all types of Nintendo membership provide benefits such as playing games online, accessing exclusive games, listening to music from Nintendo, and saving data in the cloud.
