THE YELLOW MONKEY, WANIMA contribute opening, ending songs
On Friday, the team responsible for creating the TV series adaptation of the manga "Hawkman and Mecha-Roots" released their main promotional video and visual on their official social media accounts. This video included information about additional cast members, premiere dates, and theme songs.
The staff has not yet revealed the cast member for the Last Samurai.
The Yellow Monkey band has released "Cat City" as their opening theme for their upcoming album. Meanwhile, Wanima has contributed "Matatabi" as their closing theme. Heidi Shepherd from Butcher Babies has provided vocals for the "Night of the Living Cat Theme Song," which was written by Ayuko Saito and composed by Kōji Endō with guitar work by Marty Friedman.
The new anime series will be available for streaming on Abema Premium starting at 11:00 p.m. (10:00 a.m.) on July 6th. It will also be broadcasted on TV Tokyo at 26:00 (July 8 at 2:00 a.m.) on July 7th (which translates to "Nyanya-gatsu Nya no Nichi" in Japanese). Additionally, it will air on BS TV Tokyo, TV Hokkaido, Animax, as well as other streaming platforms.
On July 6th, Crunchyroll will start streaming anime in various regions including North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, Middle East, CIS, Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, and Japan. Sony Pictures Entertainment is responsible for distribution in Asia.
On July 3rd at the JW Marriott Stage in Los Angeles, California, Anime Expo will showcase the initial episode of the anime series. Meanwhile, in Montreal, Canada, Fantasia International Film Festival is set to host the world debut of episodes three and four as part of its official selection.
