Game launches for PS5 on June 26
On Sunday, during a live stream, Kojima Productions shared a video showcasing Death Stranding 2: On the Beach gameplay. In the beginning, there is music by Woodkid that changes its structure based on player interactions. Later in the video, Sam engages in combat with Neil in an unusual setting.
The game is slated for release for PlayStation 5 on June 26.
The Collector's Edition offers buyers exclusive benefits such as early access to the game by 48 hours before its official release date, in-game items, a Magellan Man statue, a Dollman figurine, art cards, a letter from
Hideo Kojima, and a unique collector's box. On the other hand, the Digital Deluxe Edition includes only the early access and in-game items. All editions, including pre-orders, will receive four distinct in-game items.

Troy Baker, George Miller, Fatih Akin,
Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, Nicolas Winding Refn, Luca Marinelli, and Alissa Jung.
In November 2019, Death Stranding was released on PlayStation 4. It was later released on PC via Steam in July 2020 after being delayed from June 2020 due to COVID-19. The PlayStation 5 version of the game, called Death Stranding: Director's Cut, was launched in September 2021. Additionally, Death Stranding: Director's Cut was released on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in March 2022.
An upcoming movie will be based on a popular video game at Hammerstone Studios.
In an interview with Vogue Japan in May,
Hideo Kojima revealed that there is currently a Death Stranding animation project being developed. Although he did not specify whether it is a Japanese animated production or not.
In 2021, Kojima Productions set up a new branch in Los Angeles that focuses on music, TV shows, and movies.
