Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha 20th Anniversary Finale Event to Screen 'Picture Drama' Prologue

Voiced comic video takes place before Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance anime

On Tuesday, it was announced that the team responsible for celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha franchise will hold a concluding event called "Lyrical Watch Party～RED&WHITE." This event will showcase a prologue "picture drama" video that will be set before the events of the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance anime and manga. This video will feature voice actors narrating over illustrated panels. The event will take place at Live Cafe Mixa in Tokyo from September 13-28.

To commemorate its 20th anniversary, the anime series "The Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance" is being celebrated with a special event.

Masaki Tsuzuki has been named as the original story creator and scriptwriter for the new anime. Takayuki Hamana, who previously directed Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Detonation, will be directing at Seven Arcs. Issei Aragaki will be serving as both character designer and chief animation director for this project, while Shuichi Kawakami will be credited for the original character designs.

Besides the new anime, Kodansha launched the manga version of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha on its Wednesday Sirius service on April 16th.

Tsuzuki is creating the initial idea for the manga, while Kawakami is responsible for the artwork. Kawakami has previously worked on character designs for Extreme Hearts as well as art for the pop-up store Lyrical Store and the magical girl Lyrical Nanoha innocent game and manga.

To commemorate its 20th year in existence, the franchise is launching several special projects. Among these are Lyrical Selection or Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha 20th Anniversary Selection, which is a television edit version of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha the Movie 2nd A's anime films. These films began airing in October.
