At the "Earth Star Novels 10th Anniversary Summer Festival" event on Saturday, it was announced that the staff behind the television anime adaptation of Touya and Chibi's light novel series "A Tale of the Secret Saint" (Tensei Shita Daiseijo wa, Seijo de Aru Koto wo Hitakakusu) would be revealed in a promotional video. This video also showed that the show will be making its debut in 2026.
The company Seven Seas has announced that they will be launching both the English translation of the light novel series as well as the main manga adaptation of the story.

In January 2019, Touya released his new novel series on the website Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let's Be Novelists). Earth Star Entertainment started printing the books in June 2019 with illustrations by chibi.
According to the Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (This Light Novel Is Amazing!) guidebook published in November 2025, two novels were ranked second in both the Tankōbon and Novel categories. These same two novels were also placed at the same position in both categories of the November 2024 edition of the guidebook, which was published in November 2023.
Mahito Aobe launched ( link ) the novels' manga adaptation in Comic Earth Star in November 2019.
Earth Star Entertainment has started publishing the prequel series for "A Tale of the Secret Saint Zero" in English in July 2022. Shiina launched this series in Japan in July 2022. ( link ) In October 2023, Earth Star Entertainment will release a manga version of their prequel novels on their Comic Earth Star website.
The book franchise has more than 3.5 million copies in circulation.
