4th Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199 Film Unveils Main Trailer
Main visual for October 10 film also revealed
On Monday, Bandai Namco Filmworks released the primary trailer and artwork for Mizuiro no Sasha (The Aqua Sasha), which is the fourth film in the Yamato yo Towa ni: Rebel 3199 (Be Forever Yamato : Rebel 3199) series, which is based on the Space Battleship Yamato remakes.
The fourth film will open in Japan on October 10.
The third film Gunjō no Asteroid (Ultramarine Asteroid) opened in Japan on April 11.
TRUE is performing the ending theme song "Eureka."
The anime series known as Star Blazers : Space Battleship Yamato 3199 will be released in seven installments. You can watch this series on Crunchyroll under the title Star Blazers : Space Battleship Yamato 3199.
In July 2024, Kuro no Shinryaku, the initial installment of the series, was launched. During its initial three days in theaters, it generated a revenue of approximately US$397,813 after being converted from Japanese yen to US dollars at the current exchange rate.
In November 2024, Japan released its second anime movie called "Sekijitsu no Shutsugeki" (The Assault of the Burning Sun). It made 64 million yen (about $433k) in its first three days at the box office. During its screening run, participating theaters offered a special limited edition Blu-ray Disc of the movie. On January 29, it became available for purchase on retail Blu-ray Disc and DVD.
In the second movie, Sasha was played by Megumi Han, while her mother Keiko Han provided the voice for her character in Yamato.
Naomichi Yamato is directing the new anime with Harutoshi Fukui as supervising director, in addition to his roles as head writer and scriptwriter. Hideki Oka is returning as co-writer on the script. Nobuteru Yūki is returning as character designer. Junichirō Tamamori, Mika Akitaka, and Yasushi Ishizu are credited for mechanical designs. Hiroyuki Gotō is the CG producer, while Shōsuke Uechi is credited as CG director. Tomohiro Yoshida is the sound director.
In this new anime, as in previous installments of the series, Yoshinobu Nishizaki is given credit for the original work, while his son Shōji Nishizaki is listed as chief production supervisor and copyright chief supervisor. Akira Miyagawa is returning to compose the music alongside Shū Kanematsu, who also worked on My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! and The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses . Additionally, Akira Miyagawa's late father Hiroshi Miyagawa, who was the original composer of Space Battleship Yamato, is also credited for music in this project.
The upcoming movie is a continuation of the previous film titled "Space Battleship Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi - Kōshō -STASHA-," which was released in February 2022.
