The third and most recent installment of the Karada Sagashi series was launched on Shonen Jump+ in September 2022 and concluded in March 2023. Doki, who has written for Cyborg 009 Call of Justice, Ultraman, and Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, is credited with writing the "film script," while Murase is once again responsible for the artwork. Welzard is credited with creating the original work. Shueisha published the final compiled book volume of this series in April 2023.
The inspiration for Haruka Murase's manga adaptation came from Welzard's cellphone novel on the Everystar website. This story revolves around Asuka, a high school student who encounters the ghost of Haruka, who asks Asuka to locate her corpse in school. Asuka and her friends embark on a quest to find the eight scattered pieces of Haruka's body in school, while also learning more about the Red Person hunting them. This entity targets students who are alone at school for murder, and until they leave school gates, it will continue appearing before them. When it kills a student, it scatters their body into eight pieces and assigns another person to find them in school. If Asuka fails to locate Haruka's body, she and her friends will continue dying until they do so.
From September 2014 to December 2017, Murase created a manga series on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ website. This was the first series to receive over 100 million views. Shueisha published the final volume of this series in February 2018, with over three million copies in circulation. In January 2018, Murase started a sequel series called Karada Sagashi Kai, which ended in January 2019. Shueisha released the fifth and final volume of this series in March 2019.
An anime adaptation was created based on a manga, which was released in July 2017 through Tate Anime (now Anime Beans) app by Production I.G.
